Life in today’s fast-paced world can feel pretty lonely sometimes. Maybe you’ve been there—rushing between work, school activities, and errands, barely having time to catch your breath, let alone build meaningful friendships. You’re not alone in this feeling. Many families in our city are looking for real, authentic relationships.

That’s exactly why we started All Nations Breakthrough Church, a vibrant African Church with a thriving Kenyan community in Kansas City and Seattle. We believe God created us for connection—both with Him and with each other. Our church family is filled with people just like you, who understand the challenges of building community in our busy world.

We’ve seen countless families find their place here, moving from feeling isolated to being deeply connected.

Jesus showed us what true community looks like—people caring for each other, sharing life’s ups and downs, and growing together in faith. That’s the kind of community we’re building here at All Nations. Whether you’re new to church or have been around church your whole life, we want you to know there’s a place for you here.

We’ve created simple ways for you to connect and build relationships that last. Below, we’ll walk you through four steps to get connected in our church community:

  • Come to Sunday Service
  • Join a Small Group
  • Take the Essentials Classes
  • Join a Serve Team

Remember, building community isn’t about checking boxes or following a program—it’s about taking one step at a time to open your heart to new relationships. We’re here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Step 1: Come to Sunday Service

Walking through our doors for the first time, you’ll feel the warmth of Jesus’ love through genuine smiles and friendly faces. Our welcome team is ready to help you find your way around and answer any questions you might have.

Here’s what to expect on Sundays:

  • Service Time: We start at 10 AM, but come early at 9:30 AM for fresh coffee and casual conversations.
  • Kids’ Ministry: Your children will love our safe and engaging program designed just for them.
  • Worship: Participate however you’re comfortable—sing, reflect, or simply soak it in.
  • Message: Our pastor shares practical, Bible-based messages relevant to everyday life.

Stay for a few minutes after service to meet other families and grab another coffee. Many of our closest friendships started in these after-service moments. We also host monthly newcomer lunches—a relaxed way to meet church leaders and other new families.

Plan your visit to make your first Sunday a seamless experience.

Step 2: Join a Small Group

Life is better when we do it together. At All Nations Breakthrough Church, our small groups are where real friendships bloom and faith grows deeper. These weekly gatherings of 8-12 people create space for authentic relationships and spiritual growth.

Why join a small group?

  • Connect with others in a similar season of life.
  • Grow spiritually through shared prayer and Bible study.
  • Receive support during life’s challenges.

“My small group became my support system,” Sarah shares. “Now these people are like family.”

Finding your group is simple:

  • Visit our welcome desk on Sunday, and our team will help you find the perfect fit.
  • Explore small groups online to see what works for your schedule.

Step 3: Take the Essentials Classes

Getting to know Jesus and His family is an exciting journey, and our Essentials Classes make it simple and fun. These four-week classes happen on Sunday mornings before service, with coffee and breakfast treats to start your day right.

What you’ll learn:

  • Basics of following Jesus
  • Understanding the Bible
  • Living out your faith in practical ways

“The Essentials Classes helped me grow spiritually and build lasting friendships,” one participant shared.

Classes start fresh every month.

Step 4: Join a Serve Team

There’s no better way to build community than by serving together. Our serve teams are made up of people just like you—passionate about making a difference and growing together in the process.

Opportunities to serve include:

  • Welcome Team
  • Kids’ Ministry
  • Worship and Tech
  • Community Outreach

Serving isn’t just about giving back; it’s about discovering your purpose and building deeper connections along the way.
